The issue of antibiotic resistance has come to the forefront in recent years due to its serious implications for human and animal health. Resistance poses a serious threat to both humans and animals since it results in antibiotics becoming ineffective against bacterial infections. In this factsheet, best practices are discussed, which beef and dairy producers can employ to help mitigate this serious animal and public health challenge.
