This publication is designed to help tree owners and Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteers evaluate tree health. Evaluation information can be used in many ways including: by the tree owner to guide their direct actions, to support discussions with landscape contractors, to identify situations where a Certified Arborist is needed, to support municipal arborists or foresters or Master Gardener volunteers in making tree care recommendations.
